A 96-page luxury publication, Gainford, explores the life of Gainford Group’s properties and their place in the sparkling social scene of Newcastle and beyond.

Gainford Group’s portfolio of hotels and accommodations includes The Vermont Hotel, The Vermont Aparthotel, The County Hotel, The County Aparthotel, The New Bridge Hotel and The Great Victoria Hotel in Bradford. Their lifestyle offering spans across Newcastle, including Aveika, Livello, ABOVE Rooftop, The Maven, The County Hotel, The Hudson, Redwood Bar, The Avenue, Atomic Blonde and CRESCENDO – an upcoming urban open air terrace. On top of that, they also have their healthcare and childcare facilities.

Challenges

To reach the demographic and produce a quality publication that best represents the Gainford Group brand. Allies Group required their team of expert journalists to produce a high quality magazine that engages with the high end market. 

A challenge was to establish Gainford as a must-read magazine in the luxury publication market. To achieve this requires constant development and innovation of engaging content that appreciates the audience and resonates with them.

Allies Group has built a strong relationship with the Gainford Group to ensure the magazine displays the correct messaging, focuses on the Gainford brand and meets the expectations of their audience.

Solution

To achieve a luxury publication requires a team of talented journalists, Allies Group are experienced in delivering high quality magazines and they pride themselves on producing exceptional content.

After regular content meetings the team at Allies Group liaised with Gainford to ensure that the content plan offered the right quality and variety of editorial focus, with a mix of engaging insightful and inspirational story ideas that fit with the brands, including food and cocktail recipes, real wedding interviews, venue highlights, fashion inspiration, things to do and exciting updates as well as spotlights on the portfolio of hotels and accommodation as mentioned above.

In supporting the Gainford Group’s portfolio growth this publication will share the journey with the readers, giving behind-the-scenes access to some of the people and places we treasure most in the North East.

Result

Allies Group recently just published the 5th edition of Gainford and have been publishing the magazine annually since 2016 with a brief hiatus during Covid. 

Since the inception of the Gainford Magazine they have been able to support the production of 50,000 copies that have been distributed to a wide selection of Gainford’s hotels, bars and restaurants as well as being delivered to a selection of high net worth individuals based in the North East.

Along with the editorial responsibilities that Allies Group had in creating Gainford, we also supported the commercial and advertising options that the magazine created. The demographic and quality of the magazine has attracted advertisers such as Lamborghini, Aston Martin, St James Park, Newcastle Racecourse and Charlotte Tilbury.

 

We have successfully published and distributed 5 editions of the Gainford Magazine.
